Christine Liu
Christine’s vision for Light Path grew out of years of caring for her mother through dementia, giving her firsthand understanding of the challenges and isolation of long-term caregiving. Her work with older adults through a Chinese church community in Seattle further deepened her commitment to seniors and their families.
Christine brings more than two decades of experience in the legal industry and has studied senior care and counseling at China Evangelical Seminary since 2022. She continues to expand her knowledge through caregiving seminars and workshops.
She founded Light Path with a simple conviction: illness may change a person’s abilities, but it never diminishes the value of that life. Her goal is to help caregivers and families find trusted guidance, meaningful connection, and compassionate support.
Luna Zhong
Luna brings over a decade of US-China project and product management experience, is a certified life coach, and holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. Her long-term journey supporting families dealing with dementia and chronic illnesses taught her that caregiving is about dignity, relationships, and companionship, driving her belief that everyone deserves culturally sensitive support. As a founding team member of The Light Path, she integrates education, technology, and community resources to advance whole-person care, delivering warmer and more sustainable support for patients, caregivers, and families.

Derrick Liu
Derrick Liu has held senior finance leadership roles throughout his career. As the son of two aging parents, he understands the challenges many families face and is committed to ensuring that Light Path has the financial resources to fulfill its mission and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those it serves.
Sophia Song
With a background in biomedical engineering and years of experience in drug and gene delivery and medical device R&D, Sophia has gained insight into the challenges faced by patients and families. Her experience caring for aging family members has further deepened her understanding of the needs of patients and caregivers in healthcare, caregiving, and everyday life. As a founding team member of The Light Path, she hopes to bring together her scientific background, cross-cultural perspective, and caregiving experience to support patients, caregivers, and families with reliable resources, trusted guidance, and a supportive community where they can build meaningful connections and find hope for the journey ahead.

Brad Chen
Brad Chen practiced as a physician in China and brings more than 20 years of product management and marketing experience in the U.S. medical device and life sciences industries. As the husband of Light Path founder Christine Liu, Brad helped care for Christine’s mother and has supported his own parents, both in their eighties, as they navigate cancer and other disabilities. These experiences have given him a personal understanding of the challenges families face when caring for aging loved ones.
